George Amzashvili assumed the role of CEO at the Georgian Stock Exchange Group in July 2025. George is an expert in financial and capital markets with over 25 years of cross-functional experience spanning corporate finance, structured finance, capital markets development, and strategic advisory roles across both emerging and developed economies.
He has led complex projects in advising mergers and acquisitions, designing innovative financial instruments, and shaping economic reforms to improve market infrastructure and expand access to finance.
Among his notable achievements is his work with Deloitte Consulting on the USAID Economic Governance Program, where he played a key role in developing critical financial legislation and platforms in Georgia — including the Investment Funds Law, Securitization Law, and frameworks for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). His expertise in securitization, and complex transactions involving asset-backed securities, syndicated loans, and equity fundraising is backed by a proven record of execution.
Fluent in English, Georgian, and Russian, he holds an Executive MBA from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
